Director of the company Hosting d.o.o., Mr. Peter Vesenjak and project manager from the Hosting's Zagreb company Hosting Adriatica d.o.o. Tomislav Sokler have taken part in the Investment forum »Invest in Croatia 2011« held in Hotel Westin in Zagreb in Croatia on October 10th and 11th 2011, after beeing invited by the deputy prime minister of the Government of Croatia Mr. Domagoj Milošević. Introductory speeches at the conference were held by the prime minister of the Croatian Government Ms. Jadranka Kosor and president of the Croatian Economic Chamber Mr.Nadan Vidošević in which they pointed out the advantages of the investment in Croatia in time of full harmonization of the legislation and membership of Croatia in EU by 2013.

Programme of the forum with approximatelly 400 attendees (international investors, domestic and foreign enterpreneurs, representatives of the public sector and proffessional community) was dedicated to strategic challenges and guidelines in promoting the foreign direct investment to Croatia in future years, within the frame of Croatia joining EU by 2013. Especially emphasized were investment in Sustainable Energy sector, infrastructure, transport and logistics, industry and high-tech and of course tourism as strategic comparative advantage of Croatia. Forum was visited by high representatives of international investment funds and wealthy individuals, which are either already investing in Croatia or showed interest for investing in Croatia. Among international investors interest for investing in energy sector and tourism prevailed.

The purpose of attending the conference by Hosting group was, besides keeping in touch with the investment trends in the region, to present the investment project »Thermae Hortus Croatiae – The Garden of Croatia« to the potential interested investors. By the fact that the »The Garden of Croatia« investment project is already in extremely high phase of development having obtained the building permit for first phase of development (the construction of the water, wellness and health park) and that the permit for construction of the electrical and heat energy production plant from the sustainable geothermal source and the concession for bottling of the mineral water shall soon be obtained as well, the interest of the potential investors for joning the project was rather substantial. It was clear that the substantial interest of the investors, after discussing the topics of the project, resulted from the the fact that the investment project joins exactly the business activities which were emphasized on the forum as strategic and most promising for investment in Croatia, health tourism with whole year operation and high added value of the services, production of sustainable »green« energy and mineral water bottling as additional industrial activity. Representatives of Hosting agreed very specific steps with some of the potential investors at realisation of the business cooperation in further development of the project »Garden of Croatia«.
